Serves 8
Ready in 15 minutes
Ingredients
- 1 small round loaf or white bloomer
- 25g butter, at room temperature
- 1tsp Asda Dijon mustard
- 2tbsp Asda mayonnaise
- 150g pack Asda Premium oven-baked, dry cure ham
- 125g Asda wafer thin sliced Edam
- 3 or 4 spring onions, trimmed and shredded, optional
- 150g pack Asda premium honey roast chicken
- 2 large Asda beef tomatoes, sliced
Method
1 Cut a slice off the top of the loaf about a quarter of the way down. Carefully pull out the soft bread inside, leaving a 3cm shell. (Make the bread into breadcrumbs and freeze them as storecupboard essentials) Spread the inside of the loaf and the lid with the butter.
2 Mix the mustard and mayonnaise. Put the ham in the bottom of the loaf followed by the mustard mayonnaise, the cheese, spring onions if using, chicken and tomato.
3 Put the lid on and wrap the whole loaf first in baking paper and then tightly in cling film. Place between two plates in the fridge, weighed down with a can of beans for about 2 hours. To serve, simply unwrap and slice.
