Pork in creamy mushroom sauce
A comforting family meal
Serves 4
Ready in 30 minutes
Ingredients
  • 4 x Asda Good for you! half pork fillets, total weight about 1kg
  • 2tbsp sunflower oil
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 250g Asda chestnut mushrooms, sliced
  • 1tbsp fresh thyme leaves, stripped from stalks
  • 200ml pot Asda crème fraîche
  • Asda Good for you! Mashed Potato and green beans, to serve
Method
1 Cut the pork into 1cm slices. Heat half the oil and cook the onion until soft and golden. Add the mushrooms and thyme and cook, stirring occasionally, over a medium heat for 5 minutes.

2 Meanwhile, heat the rest of the oil in a non-stick frying pan and cook the pork in batches until golden on each side and cooked through. Add to the mushrooms.

3 Add the crème fraîche and 100ml water. Season and simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes. Serve with mash and green beans.
