The sweetness of the fruit and just a hint of chilli make this a snappy combination
Serves 4
Ready in 30 minutes
Ingredients
- 2tbsp oil
- 15g butter
- 4 pork steaks
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 4 peaches, peeled, stoned and diced
- 125ml grape juice
- 1tbsp sweet chilli sauce
- Rice, finely chopped fresh chilli and coriander, to serve (optional)
Method
1 Put the peaches in a large bowl, standing in the sink. Pour over enough boiling water to cover the fruit. Leave for 1 minute, then pour away the water. Cover the peaches with cold water and leave for 2 minutes. Drain, then peel - the skin should come away easily.
2 Heat the oil and butter in a frying pan. Cook the pork until golden and cooked through – about 5 minutes on each side. Remove and keep warm.
3 Cook the onion until soft and golden. Add peaches and cook for 4 minutes. Stir in grape juice and chilli sauce. Simmer, uncovered, for 3 minutes. Serve sprinkled with chilli and coriander.
