A hearty, quick and easy suppertime dish - the family will love it

Ingredients
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2tbsp Asda medium curry powder
- 300g Asda long grain rice
- 250g frozen spinach
- 2 x 400g cans Asda chickpeas, drained
Method
1 Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan, add the onion and gently fry until soft and golden. Add the curry powder and stir over a low heat for 1 minute.
2 Stir in the rice, making sure that all the grains are coated with the oil, then add 725ml hot water and season. Heat until the water is simmering, stir once, then cover and simmer for 12 minutes, until the rice is tender and the water has been completely absorbed.
3 Meanwhile, cook the spinach according to the pack instructions. Once it’s ready, drain in a sieve and add to the rice along with the chickpeas. Heat the pilaf through and serve.
