Beef and stout casserole

Ingredients
  • 900g Asda best braising beef
  • 600g Asda Root Vegetables
  • 1 beef stock cube
  • 440ml can stout
  • 1tbsp cornflour
  • 4tbsp Asda Extra Special Sweet Tomato and Chilli Chutney

Method
1 Preheat the oven to 170C/Gas 3. Trim any fat from the braising beef and cut into bite-sized pieces.

2 Dissolve the stock cube in 200ml boiling water and add to the meat and vegetables with the stout. Cover and cook in the oven for two and a half hours, until the beef is almost tender.

3 Mix the cornflour with a little cold water until smooth. Remove the casserole from the oven, stir in the cornflour mixture and chutney, cover and return to the oven for another 15 to 30 minutes.
