Ingredients
- 225g can Asda water chestnuts, drained
- 4 spring onions, trimmed
- 2.5cm piece fresh ginger, peeled
- 125g Asda tiger prawns, peeled
- 1tsp cornflour
- 1 egg white
- few drops soy sauce
- 6 medium slices white bread
- sprinkling of sesame seeds
- groundnut oil
Method
1 Finely chop the chestnuts, onions and ginger. Put them in a food processor with the prawns, cornflour, egg white and soy sauce; season and blitz to a paste.
2 Spread the prawn mixture onto the bread, sprinkle with sesame seeds and press down. Cut off the crusts and slice each piece into 4 triangles.
3 Heat the oil in a deep pan, put the toasts into the hot oil and cook in batches for 1 to 2 minutes, turning halfway through. Drain on kitchen paper and serve with chilli sauce.
