Banana flapjacks

Sweet afternoon treats with nourishing oats and bananas

Ingredients
  • 150g butter
  • 150g light brown soft sugar
  • 4tbsp clear honey
  • 350g Asda Scottish porridge oats
  • 2 small bananas, mashed
  • 50g banana chips, roughly crushed

Method
1 Preheat the oven to 190C/ Gas 5 and line a shallow 22cm square cake tin with baking paper. Gently heat the butter, sugar and honey in a pan, stirring until the sugar dissolves.

2 Pour the liquid into a bowl. Add the oats, banana and banana chips. Pour the mixture into the tin and bake for 25 minutes. Remove from the oven and leave for 10 minutes. Mark into fingers and cool completely before removing.
