Ingredients
- 100g butter; extra for greasing
- 750g Maris Piper potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
Method
1 Butter an ovenproof frying pan. Layer the potatoes, seasoning and dotting with butter as you go.
2 Preheat oven to 190C/Gas 5. Cover the pan with a lid or foil and cook over a medium heat for 15 minutes. Transfer to the oven and cook for 30 minutes, until the potatoes are tender.
3 Turn out onto a plate so that the crispy bottom layer is on the top. Cut into wedges to serve.
