Carrot bread

Ingredients
  • Oil, for greasing
  • 300g Asda low-fat natural yogurt
  • 150ml full-fat milk
  • 450g plain wholemeal flour
  • 1tsp salt
  • 1tsp bicarbonate of soda
  • 125g carrots, peeled and grated

Method
1 Preheat oven to 200C/Gas 6. Lightly grease a baking sheet.

2 Combine the yogurt and milk. Mix the flour, salt and bicarbonate of soda in a bowl. Stir in the carrots and enough yogurt mixture to form a dough.

3 Knead the dough lightly on a floured surface, shape into a round and mark a cross in the middle. Put on the baking sheet and bake for 30 to 35 minutes, until risen and hollow-sounding when tapped on the bottom. Eat while still warm.
