Smoked mackerel pâté
A delicious lunch, starter or sandwich filling
Serves 4
Ready in 10 minutes
Ingredients
  • 225g pack Asda smoked mackerel fillets
  • Half a 200g tub Asda soft and creamy full-fat soft cheese
  • Half a lemon, juice and grated zest
  • 8 slices thick-sliced wholemeal bread
  • 4 tomatoes, cut into wedges
  • 85g bag Asda baby leaf salad
Method
1 Peel the skin from the mackerel fillets and flake the fish into a food processor bowl or a blender. Add the cheese and the lemon juice and zest. Whizz the ingredients until well combined. Scoop out the pâté and put on serving plates.

2 Toast the bread under a medium-hot grill until golden. Cut into triangles and serve with pâté, tomatoes and salad leaves.
