Sausage herb-crust pie
Perfect for the winter term

Ingredients
  • 2 sausages
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 1tsp sunflower oil
  • 215g can Asda baked beans
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • 75g self-raising flour
  • Pinch Asda dried mixed herbs
  • 25g butter
  • 2tbsp milk
Method
1 Preheat the oven to 220C/Gas 7. Fry the sausages and onion in the oil for 5 minutes. Cut the sausages into chunks.

2 Take off the heat, add the baked beans, a dash of Worcestershire sauce and 125ml water. Heat through and season. Spoon into a casserole dish.

3 Put the flour and herbs in a bowl. Rub in the butter and stir in enough milk to make a soft dough. Break into 3cm pieces and put on the pie. Bake for 10 minutes, then reduce the heat to 190C/Gas 5 and cook for 15 minutes.
