Pork with mustard and tarragon sauce
This looks impressive but is quick and easy to prepare
Serves 4
Ready in 30 minutes
Ingredients
  • 1tbsp sunflower oil
  • 4 large or 8 small Asda Thin Cut Pork Loin Steaks
  • 1 shallot, finely chopped
  • 150ml dry cider
  • 2tbsp chopped fresh tarragon
  • 200g pot Asda Crème Fraîche
  • 2tbsp coarse-grain mustard
  • mashed potato and fine green beans, to serve
Method
1 Heat the oil in a large, nonstick frying pan. Add as many of the steaks as will fit in a single layer and cook for 5 minutes on each side or until cooked through. Remove, leaving the fat and juices in the pan, and keep the cooked steaks warm while you cook the rest. Set all the cooked steaks aside to keep warm while you make the sauce.

2 Add the shallot to the pan and cook until soft. Add the cider and tarragon and boil until the liquid has reduced by half.

3 Stir in the crème fraîche and mustard and simmer for a minute. Season to taste, return the pork to the pan and heat through. Serve with mashed potato and green beans.
