Apple and hazelnut crumbles

Ingredients
  • 1 Bramley apple
  • 1 large Cox apple
  • 3tbsp apple juice
  • 2tbsp sugar
  • 75g butter
  • 150g plain white flour
  • 75g caster sugar
  • 50g chopped hazelnuts
Method
1 Peel, core and slice 1 Bramley apple and 1 large Cox apple. Cook in a covered pan, over a medium heat, with 3tbsp apple juice and 2tbsp sugar until the apples are tender - the Bramley will break up but the Cox slices should keep their shape.

2 Divide between 6 individual ovenproof dishes. Rub 75g butter into 150g plain white flour and stir in 75g caster sugar and 50g chopped hazelnuts. Spoon over the apples and bake at 190C/170C Fan/Gas 5 for 20 minutes.
